Polenta is a corn product.
It is first boiled, then dried and then crushed.
Polenta is available in different mesh sizes.
The bigger the mesh size, the harder the bait will become but it will also be more difficult to roll.
It is wise not to use more than 10% of the coarsest type.
The boilies will become rock-hard if the mix does not contain to much watersoluble ingredients.
Polenta has approximately the same properties as corn meal.

Polenta is very cheap, and it can be used in bulk in almost any mix.
